ERIE — The Manufacturer & Business Association (MBA), in conjunction with its monthly publication, the Business Magazine, will host a special luncheon, IMPACT 2018: Strategies for Successful Internships, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at the MBA Conference Center, 2171 West 38th Street and Pittsburgh Avenue. All media are invited to attend.
As part of the presentation, company officials from local manufacturer American Turned Products, including its Chief Operating Officer Harry Eighmy, will explain why having internships is one of the best decisions the company has made. Plus, representatives from each of the four local universities — Edinboro, Gannon, Mercyhurst and Penn State Behrend — will explain the resources needed to get started, how to establish a world-class internship program and the role they can play in helping find the right candidates.
The event is intended for small to mid-size employers who may not have a full-time HR manager or the resources to get an internship started, or those that want to take their internships to the next level. Cost is $30 per person and includes lunch. For more information or to register, visit www.mbausa.org or call Terry Nunez at 814/833-3200 or 800/815-2660.
