ERIE – John Persinger, chief executive officer of the Erie Downtown Development Corporation (EDDC), will be the guest speaker at the Manufacturer & Business Association’s (MBA) Eggs ‘n’ Issues briefing, starting at 8 a.m. Thursday, May 10, at the Manufacturer & Business Association Conference Center, 2171 West 38th Street. Registration begins at 7:45 a.m. All media are invited to attend.
During his presentation, Persinger will provide an update on the EDDC, as he details “the plan” to revitalize and re-energize downtown Erie. Formed in 2017, the EDDC is comprised of business and community leaders who wish to bring the Erie Refocused Plan’s emphasis on downtown real estate development to life.
Persinger was appointed CEO of the EDDC in March 2018. He previously worked as an attorney at MacDonald, Illig, Jones & Britton where he focused on business and commercial transactions. Prior to that, he served in a number of governmental positions, including as attaché to the U.S. Ambassador to Australia and executive assistant to the Deputy White House Counsel. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Harvard University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Notre Dame.
